Protect Free Speech.

These organizations are making the most impact by providing services locally -- and also in Washington, where they are working tirelessly to protect the freedom of our press & free speech in face of an increasingly hostile, closed-off administration. Want to support them all?  Donate here to make a single donation that helps all of the organizations below.

Reporter's Committee for Freedom of the Press

The Reporter's Committee for Freedom of the Press provides free legal resources, support, and advocacy to protect the First Amendment and freedom of information rights of journalists working in areas where U.S. law applies, regardless of the medium in which their work appears. Since its founding, no reporter has ever paid for the Reporters Committee's help in defending First Amendment rights. Keep that record possible by donating here.

Investigative Reporters & Editors

Investigative Reporters and Editors provides journalists access to thousands of reporting tip sheets and other materials through a resource center, conferences and a forum in which reporters can help each other by sharing story ideas, newsgathering techniques and news sources. Donate here.
